Overall Refurbishing Plan
Expand and enhance the (fresh) food section
- Increase the floor space by 130%.
- Strengthen person-to-person selling.
- Create a lively market atmosphere.
With the cooperation of our key tenant "Izumiya", we have invited "Tomidaya" to become our second major tenant. These complementary stores will enhance the attraction of our food section, which is the main target of the refurbishing project.
Tomidaya: Profile
Annual turnover: 233 million US dollars (2001)
Number of stores: This will be their 21st store.
Tomidaya wants to develop this store into one of the dominant stores in the Seino area.

With the widening of Prefectural Road No. 53, a new entrance will be made in the northern wall of the building, and exits to the exterior roads will be created.

-Invigorate the restaurant zone (Japanese, Western, and Chinese restaurants) with the introduction of new tenants, etc.
- Transfer of the "Food Court" upstairs; this will leave a spacious open-ceiling hall to create a feeling of openness and freedom.
- Widen the corridors to 5 m (16.4 ft) to open spacious avenues that will tempt visitors to stroll around the mall.

Increase in the number of elevators at the East end
- To facilitate customer traffic between the rooftop parking and the food stores on the first floor, while facilitating their movement through all levels from the first floor to the rooftop parking.

Fashion and clothing zone

Izumiya 1st floor: Floor space of 9,591 square feet with a new type of operation.
2nd floor: A new clothing and household-related articles section will be developed.
Specialized stores Renew the fashion shopping zone by moving the existing stores on the 1st and 2nd floors, and introducing new, large-scale specialty stores and "hot"tenants, etc.

Future outlook
A project is being studied to integrate Rio World and the Riverside Mall into "Rio Town"(tentatively named). The refurbishing plan is being carried out as the first step in this project.

Turnover Plan
We aim to realize an annual turnover of 113.3 million US dollars with customers of all ages including families and seniors, coming from the large market within a 15-km (9.3-mile) radius.
We aim to be a shopping, dining, and amusement complex with something to offer customers in all aspects of their lives.
